I have been teaching for 35 years. I incorporate some theory and solfege into my teaching. I have had many students go on to college as music majors and become professional musicians. I hold a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music degrees from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York.
I taught 8 years in the School District of Philadelphia music
devision. I have been teaching privately since then. I taught
several years at the Lancaster Conservatory of Music in
Lancaster, PA.
I hold both a B.M. with a major in string performance and a

if a child, I like the parent or guardian present at least at the
first few lessons to see how I operate.
I work with all ages. My youngest student currently is 4 yrs old. My oldest is in her sixties. Generally my students are
school age: 5th grade thru senior in high school.
I wold recommend having a trial lesson to see how your
personalities mesh.
Allegro Chamber Orchestra of Lancaster had our Christmas
concert 2 weeks ago at First United Methodist Church. It was
well attended and very well received.

He is so kind and patient and his love of music is evident! I love the way he teaches...correct bowing technique...rhythm...the fine points of playing. He is also very flexible with my schedule which I appreciate. I enjoy every minute of my lessons and I highly recommend him.
