About Laura

I teach a full range of styles from sacred to rock; whatever the student is interested in. I teach on zoom, so our lessons are pandemic-proof.

Check out my page on Facebook-Laura’s Piano and Voice Lessons.

I enjoy working with each individual student. Everyone brings something new to the table. And the moments when a new skill is mastered are phenomenal.

I got started in teaching while working in the dinner theatre. We did a monthly chikdrens performance, and I had many requests for private lessons and tutoring, so I tried it and liked it. I have been teaching on and off most of my adult life.

I took piano lessons for 10 years, and voice lessons for 8 years. I have been the director of music at my church for 25 years, and a professional musician for almost 40 years. I have worked professionally on stage at the age of 10, and worked several seasons at a local dinner theatre in my early 20's. I attended Westminster Choir College and Philadelphia College of the Performing Arts. I have enjoyed teaching people of all ages over the past 25 years.

About the lesson

For the piano student, I begin with age and skill appropriate workbooks. With the voice student, we begin by exploring the students range and musical preferences, and continue on from there.
