About Elysabeth
I am a former professional opera singer and accomplished pianist who was the Chair of the Voice Department at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University for 15 years. My students have been accepted to Juilliard, Manhattan School of Music and all of the top conservatories. One of my current students is having a great career doing national Broadway Tours. You can see video clips of my piano students as well on my websites, (concealed information) or (concealed information)
I love helping people achieve their goals and expanding their artistic horizons! I have been teaching for 25 years and specialize in tailoring lessons towards the needs of each individual student, whether it be a young child, pre-professional, professional, or amateur adult.
I started teaching in Europe when I was singing professionally.
I have a Master of Music Degree from the Mannes College of Music, I have been playing the piano since the age of 10, I sang leading roles in top European Opera Houses, I have been teaching for over 25 years, I was on the faculty of the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University for 15 years, and my students have won numerous awards, have been accepted to the top conservatories, and are singing professionally.

I suggest scheduling one lesson before making a commitment. The student can experience a lesson with me and see if they want to continue. I can also evaluate the student and make recommendations. Sometimes young children aren't mature enough for private lessons, or it could be that we aren't a good fit and I can recommend a different teacher.
All ages from children to adults, amateurs, pre-professionals, and professionals.
Read the biography of the teacher very carefully to determine if they are a professional singer, if they have a degree, how many years they have been teaching, if they play the piano, and what their students' accomplishments are.
Seeing my student Jake performing in "Love Never Dies" at the Hippodrome Theater in Baltimore.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
It's really up to each individual student. Most students (and parents) want to know about tuition, billing practices, flexibility in scheduling, performance opportunities, etc.
