About Patricia

I love music and I love teaching music. I have taught children from age 5 and up , and adults who were in their 80s. I am patient and encouraging to my students. My students have fun but they also learn solid fundamentals in piano and theory. I have taught piano for over 10 years

It's really fun to learn something new! It's enjoyable for me to help someone learn the piano, and have a life long love of music and music making.

I got started several years ago, and have loved it ever since. Each student brings something new and different, the lessons are never boring or dull.

I have a BA from Indiana University and a MS from Virginia Tech. I have taught piano over ten years, and started learning cello as an adult so i can relate to the challenge of learning an instrument.

About the lesson

We will play peices from the beginning lesson, i adjust books and lessons to each individual.

I have worked with young childen, children with disablities, working moms, and adults into their 80's. I have even had siblings take lessons together!

Be willing and able to practice! Even a few minutes each day makes a big difference. Find a teacher who is patient and kind.
