About Becky
I received a PhD in Music Composition and Theory from UCLA.
I have been teaching Piano, AP Music Theory, and song writing since 2002 at the various music schools.
Currently, I am a faculty member of California Arts University and also a member of MTAC ( Music Teacher's Association of California).
My piano student ( K-12) will learn diverse genres of music, ranging from Classical Music to Pop, Jazz and Disney music.
Learning musical instruments is not easy. It takes a long time, and needs patience. Yonger students get easily bored. Here are my programs to give more motivation to the piano students who need challenging opportunities:
Annual recitals, Level Tests (CM: Certificate of Merit) by MTAC, and Various Competitions by numerous music organizations.
Adult students are welcome as well.
I also teach AP Music Theory to high school students who want to boost their GPA, and credit for college admissions.
