About Jacqueline

My music studies span over ten years studying from the Royal School of Music. Both practical and theory exams were taken successfully to move to the next grade. I have my certificates for both theory and pianoforte. Theory includes identifying notes, the key a piece is written in, tempo to the written score. Unique to my service is to have each student comfortable when doing their lesson, when one is relaxed more can be achieved. Get to know your student. No student should feel tension. A little chat before each lesson finding out how their day went is of great help. A student needs to know that they can make errors but with practice they can improve their craft.

I enjoy inspiring and motivating students to bring out the sound inside, especially when doing vocal lessons. With handling the instruments such as the piano or guitar I encourage the student to pull out the melody within. I have had folks watch me play the piano in my early years of learning to use the instrument then they felt motivated enough to take lessons and now have their own music studio.

First student showed interest in my playing, he began taking lessons and he has pursued a career out of music in that he has his own studio.

About the lesson

New students start with proper posture when sitting at the piano, introduction to notes written in between and on lines, acquaintance with the keys, use of space bars as it relates to the beat and tempo written in a piece (score) of music. Going through scales to allow the hands and fingers to glide across the keys in accordance with what is written.
