About Carol

I have been teaching since 1990. For more information about me...please go to my website (concealed information)

I was born to teach! I love to teach others and see them grow and progress.

I started teaching as an assistant to another teacher and then grew my own studio to over 50 students. When I came to NYC, I started to perform more but I am now accepting more students into my studio.

I have many degrees in Piano Performance and I have performed in many countries all over the world. I have been teaching since I was young and my students are both adults who enjoy playing leisurely and children who compete on a national level. I worked as a Senior Examiner for the Royal Conservatory Examinations and have judged many competitions. I have a Doctorate of Musical Arts and completed the prestigious Artist Diploma at The Juilliard School.

About the lesson

I like to ask the student what they hope to achieve in their lessons and so that we can work together towards those goals. I always incorporate technique and some theory in our lessons so that my students can learn how to read on their own. I feel that my goal as a teacher is to teach my students how to teach themselves so that they can be independent from me.

Mostly children who compete at a competitive level but also adults who like to play leisurely and for pleausre.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should state what their goals are for learning piano whether it is just to play The Entertainer, compose your own music or to compete at a national level etc.
