About Eileen
I have a deep passion and respect for music, but I also believe that music should be fun and able to be enjoyed by absolutely everyone. I want to be able to bring that to all of my students.
It is so thrilling to watch a student's face light up when they successfully play a song they've never been able to ace before. I know that we all have that ability inside of us and I want you to experience it too!
I have a Bachelor's degree in music from the University of Southern Maine, where I majored in Vocal Performance with a concentration in theatre and a minor in French. I've taught people from ages 5 to 65 and have learned from every one of them.

The first lesson I see what experience the student has and what their goals are. After that I focus on what the student would most enjoy or would benefit most from. In order to foster a good and long-lasting relationship with music, I believe it's important to give the student material they enjoy working on, so that is a top priority for me. I make recommendations of work books for the students to buy based on their goals and assign practice work for the week. After that, I see what the student is enjoying, following their lead on what to work on next.
