About Geoffrey

My name is Geoff and I'm a full-time trumpeter living here in New York City. I've been working professionally since I was five years old as a classical and jazz soloist, and I love this instrument! Growing up in Alexandria, Virginia, I was tutored by some of Washington D.C's finest military musicians.

I've performed with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra with Arturo O’Farrill, the Ulysses Owens Jr. Big Band, and the Jon Faddis Big Band. I received my bachelor's degree from the Manhattan School of Music in 2022 where I studied privately with Jon Faddis and Ingrid Jensen before starting my graduate studies at the Juilliard School last year. Since moving to the city I've been frequently teaching in after-school programs and music schools, so I got inspired to get on here and grow my private studio.

I have worked very closely with Geoffrey for many years and I can say without a doubt that he is the most reliable, thoughtful, efficient and all round best teacher I have come across. I would highly recommend studying with him to anyone at any level. He is be the most considerate and engaging teacher around as well as being an excellent trumpeter, I always feel lucky to be in the room when he plays.
