About Tu Quyen
My extensive musical experience across three continents as well as my significant music understanding allow me to apply a flexible approach to teaching music. A teaching approach that results in successfully creating a fulfilling, enriching and enjoyable educational and artistic experience for young children and beginners, as well as preparing students to become advanced piano performers.
I studied piano performance and teaching across three continents and obtained a B.A. in music at the conservatory of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam and piano studies at the École Normal de Musique de Paris. In the U.S., I earned a Masters of Art in Piano Performance at Hunter College. During my studies at Hunter, I was the winner of the Piano Competition and was awarded with a performance as guest soloist with the Hunter College Orchestra.
As continued education, I study with multiple professors at Julliard School of Music including Dr. Julie Jordan and Mika Sasaki.
