About Cathie

My studio usually operates at full capacity. I offer performing experiences for my students, if they choose.

Teaching the following essentials is why students in my studio are successful: sight playing, music theory, performance practices, basic fundamentals (such as scales, chords, cadences, arpeggios), literature of many varied styles, and music history as it relates to assignments.

I offer a well-rounded music education because of my forty-eight years of teaching experience and my education.

I work with young children as well as adults. My studio is in my home which is near 150th and Fort Street.

I am passionate about teaching piano because not only do I get to hear improvement musically, but watching my students grow into successful young adults is very rewarding.

Former students who communicate how much music has meant to them because of the lessons they took is also quite rewarding.
