About Jacob

At Jacob's Music Studio, we tailor how we teach for the learning needs of each student. We know everyone learns differently, and we embrace it.

I love teaching the gift of music. Music has had tremendous importance to my life. It allows one to fully express themselves and their emotion.

A mom in Gulf Breeze wanted me to teach her son from their house. So I told her that I need more than one student to go over to her city. By the end of the week I had ten students. Her son had progressed so much that she told everyone and by the end of the month I had 35 students. I fell in love with teaching, and started teaching piano full time.

I completed a minor in 2007 in sacred piano from Pensacola Christian College. I have been playing piano from 25 years.

About the lesson

I do an evaluation to see where the student is with their musicality. This also allows me to see their natural talents. Also, allows me to see the areas of focus. I also can find out what the student likes so I can keep the lessons fun and interesting.

Children of all ages from beginner to intermediate level. Adults from young adults to senior citizens. We specialize in beginner to intermediate level.

When choosing a teacher it's not about their wow factor in how well they play the piano. They also have to be able to communicate to the student on how to play and express themself. It's about the teaching and identify how the student learns.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What styles do you teach? What are your practice standards? How flexible are you in your teaching methods? Do I have say in what music I learn?
