About Marcus

I like to tailor instruction to align with the student's goals. If it's studying for a test, we'll study to get the best score, if it's a project, we'll try to get the best grade, if it's simply to learn and understand the subject, we'll focus on fundamentals, theory, and real world examples.

I took physics 1 in high school and college, and pursued a bachelors of science in Mechanical Engineering. Physics 1 concepts were applied all through my undergraduate major and into my career as a Mechanical Engineer.

About the lesson

I view my job as a physics resource ready to assist a students goals. My first step is to understand their goals and adapt the tutoring session accordingly. Options include test preparation, homework help, project help or general learning.

Marcus was very helpful in both physics classes I took. He was attentive, a good listener, and had no problem going back a step if I was confused. He was able to frame the problems in a way that made sense to me and then challenged me with other problems to practice my learning. He was very patient and understanding every time we met even when I would get frustrated. He is a GREAT tutor! I was able to get A's in both of my physics classes and I definitely could not have done it without him.
