About Norman

Formal lessons since age of 3, Mahnattan School of Music (Theory & Composition + Performance at age 15), Producer, record company owner, songwriter, and management, plus a Steinway & Sons official "Spirio" recording artist who also represents Steinway & Sons pianos at Jacobs Pianos in Shrewsbury, NJ. 3 concerts at Philadelphia Academy of Music, Madison Square Garden, Every Major Venue in NJ, plus leader of "Dueling Pianos". Appeared with Tempatations, Johnny Maestro, The Earls, Bo Didley, Chuck Berry, Roy Orbison, Roy Buchannon, Freddy King, and dozens of others. I love to teach the basics of piano the proper way so that students can always understand music even if they go to a different instrument later, plus to learn dynamics, ear training, and sight reading. Each student needs some different training depending on their abiity and time to really practice. Read under (concealed information) to find out more and I've been the "Artist in Residence" & managements with Jacobs Music Company since 1964.

Manhattan School of Music, Artist in Residence for Jacobs Music Company + 16 years of management of Steinway & Sons piano competitions, and currently doing so.

About the lesson

I need to know the age, make sure that they have an acoustic piano to practice on and in good tune, and that the parents understand that a minimum of a half hour a day is necessary for exercises, scales, and and material they work on.
