About Michaela

I started teaching in 1999 when I was asked by a friend to teach their daughter. Since then I have loved teaching piano through the years. It's nice to pass onto others what God has richly blessed me with, a passion for music, and the wherewithal to pursue my degree in piano performance.

I am pursuing my Piano Performance Degree at Angelo State University. I have taught off and on through the years since 1999.

About the lesson

First I check to see if there is any musical experience. I try to work in both theory and practice in lessons as both are important to learning the piano.

I also ask the students if they have any pieces that they want to learn to work these in as well.
