Experienced tutor in Piano in San Gabriel, Matt offers private lessons tailored to your needs.

Mr. Matt Smith is one of the most qualified and passionate music educators in Southern California, and I HIGHLY recommend him. His expertise covers a wide range of topics in orchestral music, composition, music history, musicology, piano performance technique, wind instrument performance, and industry production/engineering. He is extremely professional, but he also always ensures that you feel comfortable with his awesome sense of humor, personal musical anecdotes, and dad jokes! After having been his student for years, Matt has helped me get into some of the best college music programs in California. Out of all the music educators I have worked with before, his pedagogy is completely unmatched--to the extent that it has affected how I teach my own students. He is the type of educator that will go above and beyond to ensure that you have a balanced and holistic sense of what being a musician truly is.
