About Debbie

Accomplished, ONLINE and IN-STUDIO, professional piano teacher with a wide-ranging knowledge of proven piano instruction methods and techniques.

I have thirty+ years of extensive experience in inspiring and motivating piano students of all age groups at all musical levels.

During my piano teaching tenure, I have developed a wide-ranging knowledge of proven piano instruction methods and techniques.

My teaching philosophy is to encourage, uplift, inspire and motivate, making music fun for those who want to learn to play. Since encouraging students can mean using different techniques for each student, I tailor lessons to meet the unique needs and skill levels of each individual.

My teaching style is to maintain a nurturing approach to teaching.... praising the 'things done well' before gently discussing and working through the places that need 'tweaking'. A student never leaves our lesson feeling belittled, but motivated to try even harder! My main purpose as a piano teacher is to help you or your child to cultivate a love of music!

My studio's piano instruction is currently being offered ONLINE through Zoom classes and IN-STUDIO at my home in Snellville GA.

My education includes:

Bachelor of Music - Piano Performance

Master of Arts - Leadership

I am a proud member of MTNA - Music Teachers National Association and Georgia Music Teachers Association.

I have a proven track record of teaching, motivating and guiding students while maintaining a high interest level and achievement.

My studio's piano instruction is currently being offered ONLINE through Zoom classes and IN-STUDIO at my home in Snellville GA. Students accepted in my studio are from 6 years of age to adult, and from beginner to advanced.

I strive to deliver an enjoyable, enthusiastic and creative environment to all my students, young and old, while maintaining a high-level of interest and achievement!

TESTIMONIALS
Debbie is an excellent piano teacher! Her style of teaching is extraordinary and inspiring. (Cindy B.)

I am truly enjoying my group piano lessons with Debbie Heimberger. She has a remarkable gift of helping me and everyone in the group to develop good practice methods and come up with plans to break any bad technique habits. Even though I have had piano lessons before as a teenager, Debbie is definitely making me more 'musical'. I notice improvement in my playing after each lesson! (Dorothy C.)

I am extremely happy that I have had the privilege to take piano lessons with Debbie Heimberger. She is an outstanding and first-rate teacher! (Mark J.)

My daughter has a great rapport with Debbie Heimberger. She has taken piano lessons with her for over 3 years and continues to enjoy learning the piano. I never have to convince her to practice.... in fact, she practices without being asked & practices for longer periods than is required! (James R.)

I feel fortunate to have found Debbie Heimberger as a piano teacher. My husband and I moved after 2 years of lessons with her and I dreaded finding a piano teacher in the new location. Debbie agreed to continue teaching me online! I can honestly recommend Debbie to anyone searching for an online piano teacher. She will make you feel comfortable in your lessons while continually setting higher expectations for you to keep you improving!
(Mary A.)

Debbie is a great teacher, patient, perceptive and knowledgeble. If you are willing to practice, she will bring out a musical talent in you that you were not aware of. (Peter W.)
