I had taken piano lessons for several years before I switched to Ms. Corvin. Practicing had started to feel like a chore, and I had become stuck at the same level without showing any progress for months. But my mindset completely changed when I switched to Ms. Corvin: she helped me advance my skills even further, teaching me how to read chords, showing me how to effectively practice, and helping me with every jazz piece that I needed to learn for my high school jazz band class. She is very funny and keeps every lesson both entertaining and challenging for students of all ages. She is an amazing pianist, and I am very thankful to have had the opportunity to take lessons from her. She instilled within me the love of playing again, so to anyone searching for a great piano teacher, stop looking and contact Ms. Corvin as soon as possible!

I absolutely loved taking lessons with Ms. Corvin! She was always so kind and patient with me and really made learning fun. I was older (17) when I first began to take lessons and she always made sure that the pieces I learned were challenging enough to keep me interested without being overly difficult for me. She also was always so flexible working around my crazy high school schedule! After about a year of taking lessons with Ms. Corvin, I came to her and asked for help selecting a song to play as my talent for a state pageant that I was competing in. After telling her that I wanted something by Czech composer Dvorak, she was able to select a piece that was perfect for what I was looking for. She choose the easiest piece that she could find from Dvorak (since his music is typically for more advanced musicians & I had only been playing for a little over a year) and promised that I would have it down by the time the pageant came around. Even though it was way above my skill level at the time, with her help and guidance I was able to learn how to play this piece well enough to win the state title! Over a year later, I competed at a national level with this same talent and won the national title, Miss Czech-Slovak US— a feat that I never would have been able to accomplish without the help of the brilliant Ms. Corvin! I would recommend her 10/10 to anyone— regardless of age or skill level. She is very talented, knowledgeable, and patient, which in my opinion makes the perfect teacher!
