About Charly
I'm a classically trained guitarist with over 15 years of formal training in music theory, harmony, and art history. I started my musical education at the age of 10 with a classical and popular academic training. Graduated from the Amadeo Roldan Music Conservatory in Havana as professional guitar performer and music instructor. As a guitarist, I have developed in numerous genres such as Jazz, Blues, Flamenco, Folk, and Cuban and Latin American Popular Music. I'm an arranger and a guitar, piano, bass instructor, and trained in popular harmony, composition, musical language and theory.
Anyone can learn to play an instrument, and I'm here to help you succeed! No matter the age or level, my personalized lessons in English or Spanish allow everyone to achieve their goals quickly and according to their needs. Not only will they be playing songs in no time, but they will build a strong foundation of music reading, theory, ear training, and sight-reading while adapting to their personal taste.
I am passionate about my instrument, and I love to share that passion with others. My goal is to give my students all the tools so they can reach their full musical potential while having fun in the process.
I started teaching in Cuba after I graduated in 2015 and continued to do so in the US.

I'm really looking forward to more lessons with Charly. Just had my first one and I already learned a song. He's super patient and responsible.
I couldn't be happier having Charly as my son's guitar instructor. He's learned so much in little time and always has so much fun that he counts the days to go back to class. Charly's talent is out of this world!
Charly is such an amazing and caring teacher. He's extremely patient and it's always so much fun to learn new songs and seeing how fast I progress. I'm so happy to have found him!
