2. I AM NOT ACCEPTING CLASSICAL STUDENTS.
Performing jazz internationally for over 30 years has given me a profound understanding of our only American art form's importance to world culture. Teaching jazz gives me great satisfaction in my mission to expand the knowledge of this music to others.
Due to my extensive performance and recording career, I was the first person in the history of the Depaul University School of Music to teach there without having a degree. I was also an adjunct professor of jazz studies at Northwestern University where I taught jazz piano for non-pianist students. Over the years I have conducted many masterclasses and have been a featured artist at many high schools and universities.
I am the most recorded Chicago jazz pianist of my generation and have performed with everyone from Dizzy Gillespie to Jaco Pastorious.
My musical education comes from a lifetime of performing and recording jazz at the highest level internationally for over 35 years.

Mr Perrillo is a world renowned jazz pianist and it was truly a gift to study jazz improvisation with him while getting my grad degree at DePaul.
Ron Perrillo strikes me as one of the most important jazz musicians creating today. Thank you for supporting him.
Great teacher - very knowledgeable and patient. He is the #1 jazz pianist in Chicago. Being able to see him perform was wonderful.
