About Andrea

Lessons are designed to be creative, fun, and give students the skills they need to thrive in their musical endeavors. Students enjoy the journey of creativity and mastering their craft! AND... the first lesson is free!

My greatest joy as a piano/music teacher is enabling students to discover the unique gift of music within themselves.

A couple months after I graduated from high school, a private school asked me to teach K-12 music. I put on multiple fine arts programs and shows each year that I was there, and built a thriving musical program from the ground up. It was an absolute joy for me, and introduced me to the world of teaching!

I have years of experience of teaching K-12 music, private piano lessons, and am an experienced piano accompanist and performer. I love teaching all ages, genres, and skill levels!

First lesson is free! Every student is different, and the first lesson is usually spent getting a good idea of the student's musical goals and the direction they want to go in their endeavors. If the student is young, I usually gauge their age and skill level and get the right placement for them to thrive in their future lessons. The goal is to THRIVE in lessons, and that's what the first lesson sets up for!

I have worked with all ages, skill levels and styles- classical, rock, contemporary, jazz, etc.

Ask questions! Make sure the teacher is experienced in the genre that you are wanting to learn. Not only that, make sure the teacher is a right fit for YOU. Lessons should be something you look forward to each week!

Recently, an adult student of mine branched out from her normal classical training and is understanding pop/contemporary music. She is enjoying the process and now knows how to play a different style!

Another young student recently completed his entire piano book. It takes a lot of diligent work each week in lessons, and he was so proud of his special moment in his lesson!
