About Jody

I think it's important to develop trust with students. Making music is personal. It needs to be safe to make mistakes, because we all do. I try to develop that trust and let students know that mistakes are part of the process. We all make mistakes on the path to success. Teaching privately I have the luxury to work with students one on one and take the time to explain concepts I could never take the time to explain to a classroom full of students.

About the lesson

At our first lesson I want to know where you are and what your goals are. From there I try to assess how to help you reach those goals. Students will not only learn to play, but how to read music. Each lesson will include a variety of pieces to practice.

Both of my children have taken lessons with Mrs. Hepp for between 2-3 years. She's very encouraging and the kids are very relaxed and enjoy lessons with her.
