About Jill

I have been teaching piano and voice for over 20 years. I was a writer and audio producer for Sesame Street and Disney, and won the National Parent's Choice Award for Education and Entertainment.

I really enjoy seeing the progress that each student makes over time. I feel a music education is invaluable, even just to enhance one's capacity of musical understanding so they have the appreciation that can last them throughout their lives.

I went to Boston Conservatory of Music and have continuted working in the arts ever since. I owned my own teaching business for 10 years. We had over 500 students and 40 teachers.

About the lesson

First lesson is always free. I start with the basics and find out what the student wants to play. When a student likes the songs they are playing it is far more fun and interesting for them! Over time I introduce new songs, theory etc... always a combination of fun and what is also important to know in regards to a solid foundation of a music education.
