About Celma
Hello! Bom dia/boa tarde/boa noite!
My name is Celma Fingado, and I am a private teacher, tutor, and translator. I teach Portuguese (European) to students, non-students, adults, teens and children. European Portuguese is my first language. I hold a BSc Hons. (Bachelor's with Honors) and MSc (Master's Degree) from London Southbank University located in London, England. Before becoming a private tacher, I was an ESL teacher.
I lived in both London and Lisbon before coming to America to marry my husbamd and raise our family here in the San Francisco bay area.

I start with a pre-lesson consultation. I ask my student why they are seeking to learn Portuguese (is it for a job, for fun, for school, etc.). I ask them what level of attainment they currently have with their Portuguese language, if any. Then we how many times per week/month they would like tutoring, and go from there.
I am client focused. I want to work with them to meet their specific needs in their specific time.
