About Edward
Buffalo Clayart Studio is a working art pottery. We have been operating over 20 years at our current location in the Great Arrow building. The studio is adult only and offers 24/7 access to its membership. We have a full array of hand building, wheels, glazing and clay reprocessing equipment. We have 3 large electric kilns and work in cone 5 oxidation. Our pricing is structure to be attractive to serious hobbyists.
We frequently offer classes and workshops at reasonable prices. The classes are limited to 8 students and are team taught by 2 of our most experienced potters to assure high quality and individualize instruction. The classes are designed to educate in the basics of the hand building, wheel throwing and glazing processes, and will give folks a feel for whether this media "clicks" for them.
Workshops are offered as build on instruction for folks wishing to further practice or develop additional skills.
Our instruction is excellent, you will learn and have fun doing it.
I have been an art potter for more than 40 years, while having a career in automotive engineering management. Pottery has through my life re-charged my batteries and kept me both balanced and centered. This studio is my retirement project.
It is my upmost hope that the studio enables a truly enriching experience in your life. To engage in the artistic process and express that within you that, which may not otherwise be expressed, is authentically a magicial experience.

We provide introductory classes that last 6 weeks, meeting 1 night per week from 7:00 till 9:30. The classes are adult only (16 yrs old +).
The introduction includes hand building, wheel throwing and glazing.

Great equipment and facilities, dozens of glazed, really great instructors, such a fun course. The culture in the studio is great.
