About Jasmine
Educator with 4+ years of experience providing a learning environment that is fun, hands-on, cooperative, and student lead. Recognized for my ability to foster a learning community via family/parent partnerships. Researcher with 3+ years of experience in qualitative research. I have a B.A in Psychology from San Francisco State and M.A in Applied Psychology from NYU.
I love playing a pivotal role in kids excelling or improving in a subject area or multiple subject areas. I also enjoy being a part of their acadmeic community as i find having a support group helps children do better in school.
I have been tutoring since 2014. I've worked with Jumpstart, America Reads, and Bright Horizons. I've also done private tutoring for families.

I try to get to know the student as person first. Create a profile of what do they like, do they play sports, favorite subject in school etc. Once I have some of that basic information, I review previous work that they have struggled with and talk to them anbout their academic goals
I have worked with Preschool up to 8th grades students.I have done one-on-one session as well as group session. I work with kids of all sorts of backgrounds and learning styles
