Allison Bruning is a certified teacher that has been educating students since 2006. She is has a MFA in Creative Writing and a BA in Theatre Arts/Anthropology. She loves helping students find academic success. Allison has taught students in public schools, private school and on the college level. I was working on my Masters in History while dating my husband. My career goal was to finish my Masters in History so I could work in the archeaology department and teach History at Sul Ross State Univeristy. I have always loved to teach. My husband watch me teach sunday school and asked me why I wasn't studying to be a teacher. I didn't finish my Masters in History because we got married and moved to another city for my husband's work. A few years later, I went back to that same school and got my teaching certification.
I am a Texas certified teacher that has been teaching in public and private schools since 2006. I have also been an adjunct English professor. I hold a MFA in Creative Writing and a BA in Theater Arts/Anthropology. I am also a bestselling author in fiction and nonfiction text.

Not every student learns the same way. It's important for me to understand the learning styles and needs of my students.. That's why the first thing I do is meet with the parent or student to determine exactly what the student needs to learn and their learning style. I will then schedule the meeting time and payments. Once the payment has been received I will order the textbook for the student to use. The student and I will work closely together during our meetings.
I have worked with students from K - 12th grade. Most of my students have been autistic, gifted and special needs.
