About Rafael
Compassion, patience, and kindness are the pillars of my teaching philosophy. During my time at the University of California San Diego as a Software Engineer major, I have embarked on many challenges and learned various skills and wish to pass on my knowledge to those who wish to follow a similar path.
It brings me great pleasure to be a part of the growth of an individual both academically and personally. I am firm believer that anything is possible through hard work, devotion, and patience and it is my duty to instill the same mindset to all willing for the challenge.

When getting to know a new student, I want to get to know the student's interests, strengths and weaknesses. I think it is paramount to build a friendship between and student and tutor in order allow the student to feel comfortable and speak freely. Every student should know I am here to support and guide them through their education.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should attempt the problem by themselves first, take note of their doubts, and continue to work through the problem. From here, we have successfully pinpointed where exactly in the exercise is causing confusing and can be tackled head on. Once the solution has been achieved, it will be much easier to analyze the previous mistakes and make the appropriate corrections to improve the thought process.
