About Ashley
I have always felt called to work with children and enjoy helping them reach their full potential. I love showing them that they are cabaple of doing something that they thought they could not do. I have worked with kids in one way or another for 18 years. I have been a mentor, a tutor, a daycare worker, an after school program worker, a preschool teacher, a nanny, and have spent many hours helping in elementary schools throughout my college years. I have worked with every age from babies to teenagers. I have always been a big reader and math has always been my favorite subject, so those are the two areas I tend to lean toward when choosing what subjects to tutor.

The first time I meet a student I get to know them and depending on their age, either play a few little games or ask questions to find out where they are at in their level of understanding of the subject matter. I would also try to find out some of their interests so I can possibly make the sessions more fun. Once I better know their personality and needs, I come up with a tutoring plan that would work best for that specific child.
