It has been a few years since I last tutored. I have never tutored over zoom. Since this is the new norm, I welcome the platform because of the flexibility and safety for everyone.

I would tutor the student via zoom On the first meeting, Meet and Greet with introduction. Discuss with parent/student any major the challenge/s the student is having in their area of reading. Review some of the things the student has tried prior to private tutoring. Close out first session by hearing from the student to discuss their comfort level with having a tutor, and what would make it easier for them to have the help in achieving their goal.
Young Adults - ages ranging from 16-30.
I am not a teacher. I am an individual that wants to contribute my time to an individual that is willing to work hard to overcome the challenges they are facing surrounding their learning.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Think about what their biggest challenges are and share different ideas on how to approach an area of resolution.
