About Angela
Hello,
Thank you for opening up my profile. It is my honor to offer educational services to young readers and mathematicians across the Detroit Metropolitan Area. I am a certified, newly retired teacher with over 30+ years experience in the classroom. I will bring many strategies in my backpack. I’ve taught and tutored K-5th grade. I can structure reading around the science of reading and build to comprehension. Math is developed by building number sense, conceptual and then procedural practice with +-x /. I believe social emotional and the use of practical tools helps to trigger connections and recall. I enjoy providing interventions that motivate student learning. Students thrive when connections are made. Combining strategies, increased volume in reading and math computation begins with a positive growth mindset.
