About Allison
I love getting to know my students and learning about their personalized goals, interests and needs!
I have experience tutoring kindergarten to college students in a variety of subjects. I am particularly interested in tutoring reading and writing between preschool and elementary ages!
I am currently enrolled at The Ohio State University and I am pursuing a bachelors degree in Psychology. I am focusing my studies on childhood development.
This year I have had the wonderful opportunity to tutor kindergartners in literacy skills such as learning the alphabet, reading, and memorizing sight words!
I hope that you consider me to be a fantastic and experienced tutor for your child!
I truly enjoy the kids and watching them improve and grow their confidence!
I have worked as a college student tutor in an academic setting. I tutored biology and sociology.
I have experince as a daycare assistant creating fun activities for infants and toddlers to help develop their emergent literacy skils.
I volunteer an hour a week at an elementary school affiliated with my university. I work with kindergartners on reading comprehension, letter sounds, and sight words.

I start out by simply getting to know my student's personality and interests. I will contact the teacher or parent of the child for a quick overview of what they need help with in school. Afterward, I will create a few fun and engaging activities to work on with the child during the first session.
