I have been an instructor for over 10 years

Initially I began as a formal instructor in the United States Armed Forces, where I discovered my passion for touching the lives of others through the gift of knowledge and passing on such knowledge to those needing it.

This soon led to online instructing via homeschooling methods for elementary and high school levels and higher learning levels.

I have been an instructor both in-person and online for a combination of 10 years. Subjects I have instructed include Leadership and development, management, computer applications, computer network establishment and security maintenance, creative writing, spelling, basic elementary mathematics, project management, and more.

About the lesson

1. Establish rapport with the student to ensure that he/she is able to feel comfortable and thus enable the most effective learning environment.

2. Next it is important to identify the needs and associated objectives of the session. Whether that be specific to the assignment or homework, or a level of understanding expected throughout the duration of the course time through tutoring accomplishment.

3. Each student will receive my standard operating procedures such as these in writing to include my set fee, email, hours, and method of tutoring employed. Additionally, I will outline the expectations I have for the student to ensure ultimately that in the end the student gets the most out of the tutoring he/she has hired me to provide.

4. Finally, mid-way through the tutoring process (long-term projects), I will submit to the student a progress report requesting feedback on their progress in the course, additional items they may need help with, and how I am doing as their tutor and where I can do better to ensure they excel in their tasks they hired me to ensure they excel in.

Each brings new challenges but each also teaches me as much as I teach them, after all, we never stop learning

Details

Pricing is dependent on the duration of the tutoring sessions (i.e., single sessions versus long-term tutoring requirements), as well as the volume of subjects I am tutoring a student on.

1. Typical rates include $50-hr for single class tutoring

*If tutoring multiple classes to a single student discounted prices are available

2. Long term tutoring rates start at $40-hr and can be paid upfront in full, weekly, bi-monthly, monthly, etc... dependent on the duration of the tutoring

*In some certain circumstances, I may conduct minimal fees or even pro-bono work upon request and as a case by case basis to be approved by me. (Request must be made in writing)

***Please note: Any missed appointment without at least 24-hr notice will require payment for services unless otherwise discussed otherwise between myself/instructor and student.
