About Kathy
I work with elementary students who are struggling to be proficient readers. I love to see the eyes light up when everything starts to come together and they begin to build some fluency when reading.
I am a certified Literacy and Special Education specialist. Teaching reading remotely is rewarding and successful for the student. Check me out at (concealed information)

My typical process for working with a student is meeting with the parent and student. I then do an assessment to see what areas of reading need the most attention. From there I customize a reading plan, and together with the parent, we decide the best way to move forward.
I work with all learners, regardless of their "type."

My daughter has been working with Kathy for 6 weeks now and I have seen a tremendous improvement in her reading skills. Kathy has been able to teach her in ways no one else has been able to. It’s convenient, virtual learning that has worked! Best of all my daughter loves working with Kathy!

I have a basic plan, as can be seen on the website (concealed information) however that is not always the best plan for a student, depending on the areas of reading that need the most attention. Therefore, I customize plans to accommodate student and family needs.
