About Cyndi
Seeing students succeed is what drives my passion for teaching. That passion drove me to earn a B.S. in Elementary Education and a M.A. in Special Education. Additionally, I worked in the public school system for over 10 years in various positions.
My philosophy of teaching is to provide individualized instruction and strategies that best meets the needs of each student. What does that mean? It means that I will use each student's strengths and learning style(s) to bridge the gap between what they already know and what they need to know.
It will be an honor and privilege to tutor you or your child and see you/them succeed.

I was already a wife and mother when I decided to become a teacher. It is something I dreamed of since I was little.
I have earned a B.S. in Elementary Education and a M.A. in Special Education. I have also worked for the public school system for over ten years.

About the lesson

First, I need to know in what area(s) the student needs improvement. Secondly, I would like to assess the student's learning style and strengths. Being able to see sample work of the student would also be helpful. Lastly, I would begin teaching in systematic steps and having the student practice the concept on their own. I would provide immediate feedback so the student recognizes any errors and knows how to correct them.
I have worked with students of all ages, but primarily those in K-8 grades.
When looking for a tutor, ask a lot of questions, especially ones regarding your specific difficulties/challenges.
While teaching my daughter math recently, she looke at me and said, "I like the way you teach. I can understand it easily". Confirmation is always nice!
