About Desiree

I have been working with children for the last 7 years to help them continue to grow intellectually and to help build their confidence. I have been a daycare teacher for ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. I've been a tutor in an after school program for students 5 years old to 12 years old to help in ESL, English, and Math. I am a mentor, a dancer, an entrepreneur, and love to help children exceed their own expectations and soar above all odds.

I believe in helping children by empowering them by giving them relationships that enforces authenticity. I firmly believe that anyone who works with kids should build trust and relationship with the children they encounter because every encounter is valuable.

About the lesson

Get to know you on day one to see what my new students interests are so I can try to get a better understanding of who I’m teaching. Learning how their mind works is a first step for me because I need to find out if my student is more hands on or not.
