About Maria
I graduated from Florida State University in 2020 with my degree in Commercial Music Business. I worked closely and trained with the world-renowned Kathy Blocki in early music education for six years. I specialize in teaching beginners from ages 8 to 18 as well as audition prep for middle school and high school students.
Watching students fall in love with music is the greatest joy of my job. Music brings not just fun and joy to a student's life. When students learn an instrument, they begin to excel academically, socially, and emotionally. Helping students grow in these ways will always remain my favorite part of teaching.

I believe that students learn best through collaborative music making. We begin playing duets together day one of lessons. Just like learning a language through immersion, this teaches students the "language" of music all while having fun creating beautiful harmonies together.
