Our Family-Owned Business has been Teaching San Antonio Families to Scuba Dive for over 40 years, since 1976. We Make it Fun, Exciting, and Simple.

Our On-Premises Indoor Heated Pools makes it convenient to train regardless of the weather. Rental Equipment, Air-Fills and Rinse Tanks are located Poolside, adjacent to our Showroom.

My father was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. While we were there, I learned to snorkel, then learned to Scuba Dive at the age of 8 years old. I loved being underwater and seeing all the different aquatic life. When we came back to the states. My interest grew and I became an instructor.

We can certify Children as young as age 10, and we have certified adults into their 90's. It's just a matter of you wanting to learn to dive and be comfortable being in the water.

About the lesson

At Dive World Scuba, we like to educate our students about what is involved to become a diver before they get started. We even have a "Try Scuba" program to make certain this is the right activity for you. When you commit to becoming a Scuba Diver, we will set you up with all the proper gear, training materials and schedule.

I have worked with kids as young as 10 and adults in their 80's. Some took to the water well, some did not, but with practice they became comfortable.

Good teachers are made with the desire to teach, experience of teaching, and wiling to keep learning themselves. Keep in cheap lessons may not be what is best for you.

We have underwater easter egg hunts and underwater pumpkin hunts. It is awsome to see so many people get together to socialize and dive. It's also great to see three generations of some of our clients continue to dive together.

Details

We have several different options on getting certified. You could pick the standard book package w/DVD or do eLearning online. Pool Training can be done during the Day, Night, Weekend...Group Class, Private, or Semi-Private. The final part is the Open Water dives. We do this locally at the rivers and lakes. Or you could finish up on a Scuba Diving Trip. So, we customize the program to fit your wants and needs.
