Experienced Tutor in Search of Social Studies and Foreign Language Students in the York Area

Methodology

With an undergraduate degree in International Studies from Lock Haven University, I have recently furthered my education by taking courses at the University of Maryland at College Park and completing a Master's of Research program in Stirling, Scotland. Although I am continuing to seek full-time employment, I am currently working as a teacher of English as a Second Language within an adult education program for the Lincoln Intermediate Unit. Additionally, I am also a substitute teacher in districts across York County and I privately tutor a high school student in Spanish, so I can provide you with any necessary Pennsylvania State clearances.

Background

Throughout my life, I have worked as a tutor and caregiver for both children and adults. After gaining first hand experience through organized tutoring programs during high school and college, I am confident that I can cater to all ages and learning styles. Previously, I have tutored students in a variety of subjects, including German, French, Spanish, Social Studies, EFL, and test preparation, and I also currently volunteer as a middle school basketball coach. In addition, I recently completed a 150-hour TEFL course. Personally, I try to incorporate the right balance of structure and fun into lessons; however, I'm very flexible and if it would be more beneficial, we could work together to establish a customized study plan. Ultimately, I'm just happy to help, so if you have any further questions, feel free to contact me!
