About Jim
Firearms training for the average person. No need to talk tactical, we speak english.
I've always enjoyed shooting and I believe in responsible firearms ownership. When I realized how many of my friends had firearms but no official training I decided to step up and do something about it. If I can help reduce the number of firearms accidents then I'm a happy person.
I'm a Navy veteran & certified NRA instructor who has been shooting most of my life and training others since 2016.

We prefer small group and individual training over class rooms full of strangers.
Most of my students have been adult women. Usually, single mothers that want to have a firearm for protection but also want to keep their child(ren) safe from the firearm itself.
Find someone who you are comfortable with and who will let you go at your speed. Do not let them rush you and tell you what is best for you.
I recently had a student who is newly single and has a stalker. Her dad gave her a pistol with only the basic instruction on how to fire it. She wasn't comfortable with the pistol and frankly, it was not the appropriate pistol for her. Since the training, she has purchased the appropriate pistol for her and she has started going to the range for practice on a regular basis. We talked recently and she not only enjoys shooting and she has applied for her concealed handgun permit.
