About Mike
I have 2 decades of experience training students how to shoot better, and training instructors how to teach better.
I am a former member of the US Shooting Team, and am fluent in the vsiulation training practices as taught by Lanny Basham, Olympic gold medalist shooter.
I enjoy teaching, and have studied enough teaching methods and worked with enough students such that I have tools and techniques to help just about every student get improve and enjoy the sport more.
As a former member of the US Shooting Team, I had frequently been asked to share what I learned. This led me to NRA Instructor Training in 1990. What I learned about teaching was amazing and gratifying! I've been teaching ever since.

I've worked with 14-year-old teenagers, 66 year-old vertans, first-time shooters, and experienced trainers. I have been told that I'm particularly good working with novice and beginning shooters.
Have a call on the phone first to make sure you have a comfortable report. Make sure your instructor has a plan that includes safety and range commands, and that he can tell you very specifically what you will do in each lesson. While it is important that an instructor be able to adapt lesson plans to your sepcific requirements, this is no time for an instructor to 'wing-it'.
