About Iari

THE METHOD

Iari teaches Speech Level Singing - a method of singing that is simple to understand, and easy to use. SLS is proven a technique that is effective for training a singer to find true freedom with their voice. Singers who utilize this method will quickly experience the following:

Improved vocal range, both high and low

Seamless transition between vocal registers (chest - mix/middle - head/falsetto).

Improved resonant sound quality.

Improved breath management (diaphragmic breathing and breath support).

Greater pitch accuracy and intonation.

Higher emotional content in their vocal performances.

THE INSTRUCTOR

As a vocal instructor, Iari has taught workshops internationally, including at the Green Voices Institute in Munich, Germany; Iari is an associate of the International Voice Teachers of Mix (IVTOM), and is a former affiliate of Vocology in Practice (VIP) and Speech Level Singing (SLS). Some of Iari's past clients include Anthony Arya (Season 15 contestant on The Voice, Team Adam Levine and Team Jennifer Hudson, (concealed information) Tiffany Joy and Maqui Reyes of the hit Latin Pop duo from Colombia, Individúo ((concealed information) ; Patrick McCloskey, lead singer of the band, First In Flight (Alt 105.3 FM sponsored band, (concealed information) and Kristen Faith Oei (NY Broadway Productions of The King and I, M. Butterfly, and Soft Power, and King Kong).

Iari’s passion for guiding and developing voices has also turned into his speciality as a coach, and he frequently is hired to also help develop and game-plan younger artists’ first-steps in cultivating a career in the Music Business. His experience and skill-set as a performing singer-songwriter, and the connections he’s made in the SF Bay Area have proven to be invaluable to those wishing to take their talent and creativity to a larger stage.

Iari takes a "student-centered" approach when working with clients, whereby he excels at teaching about the voice within the client's preferred musical taste, style and genre. 

Each lesson begins with the simple question: "How may I help you today?".

What follows is a thorough vocal warm-up, followed by vocal exercises that help balance and coordinate the voice so that optimum air-flow and resonance is achieved resulting in a seamless transition between a singer's low - middle - and upper vocal registers without strain.

Iari's professional, working knowledge and experience in most contemporary music styles is invaluable for singers wishing to authentically discover their own unique vocal style in Pop, R&B, Soul, Rock, Jazz, Blues, and Boradway/Music Theatre.
