About Lucas
As a professional opera singer, I have long been interested in teaching the art of singing to others. I have two degrees in vocal performance, and have extensive training in voice pedagogy as well. I have worked with singers of all different ages and experience levels. I am highly qualified to teach voice, and passionate about singing.
I began taking lessons as a young teenager, but I believe there is no wrong time to start learning how to sing. I teach a classical technique which can be applied to all manners of singing; not just classical music, but musical theater, and popular music as well. I believe that the most important thing about teaching voice is maintaining vocal health. This means that no matter what a student wants to sing, I can help him or her learn to sing in a way that will remain healthy for many years to come.
I look forward to hearing from you, and helping you sing the way you always dreamed!
I took courses on how to teach while I was at Oberlin, and have been teaching students since 2010.
My Masters degree had a major component of teaching voice as well.
Bachelor of Music, Vocal Performance - Oberlin Conservatory of Music
Master of Music, Vocal Performance and Pedagogy - Westminster Choir College
