Starting out in my early high school years, I was extremely reluctant to take voice lessons from Wendy Lee, who I only knew of as an acquaintance of my mother's. But I kept it up until I graduated and Wendy has become not only one of the best mentors in my life, but role model whose kindness and dedication will stay with me forever. She is a teacher who helps you develop both your strengths and areas of improvement, and most importantly, she believes in people growing into their best selves. Wendy Lee is a force to be reckoned with and an inspiration in all walks of life.

I have had the pleasure of working with Wendy Lee in the public school setting for 19 years. Wendy Lee has tremendous knowledge and performance skills on violin, viola, and voice and knows what it takes to be a professional musician. She takes students where they currently are and sets up individual plans for improving their strengths as well as filling in the weaknesses to create a well rounded musician who can read and understand music notation fluently as well as perform with great skill. Wendy has the patience and demeanor to start students under 5 years old. She also has the chops to challenge students up to college age, adapting the curriculum to the student. She is wonderful in balancing the learning with the "fun-factor," and encourages each student to learn to the best of their ability. As a student, or parent of a student, you will be amazed at how much Wendy molds not only a talented musician, but the best human qualities of that student. Her many years as a lesson teacher and music coach have produced numerous players who have won their regional Solo or Ensemble contests and gone on to compete at the state level. As a fellow Music Educator, I highly recommend Wendy Lee as a private lesson teacher for your child.

Ms. Wendy gauged our capabilities, strengths, weaknesses and started our lesson from there. She was consistent with her teaching. She chose music base on our interest and skill for competition, performance or just for fun. She challenged and motivated us to do our best and helped discover new skills. She was caring and understood when we had a hard time with practice or with school. She also made it possible for all of us, sisters to play our instrument together. We played violin, viola and cello.

The breakdown of technique and concept is methodical and well communicated. Kids are told how to behave and when to talk or ask questions. Teaching is well supported with examples. The expectation is high and students are well aware of volume output to compensate for her high standards. (This review is based on class observation.)

Wendy was my very first violin teacher. She was patient and motivating. I credit Wendy with my ability to find comfort in performing in front of an audience. Years later, I am a professional musician and have traveled all over to play with Symphonies and Tour concerts!

Ms. Wendy was a very good instructor! I had private viola lessons with her for 3 years and I learned a lot through her! She was patient with me and knew the best ways to help when I was stick with a part on a piece. The atmosphere was never awkward and I enjoyed my lessons with her, and so did my pets :)

Wendy Lee is an absolutely amazing person-it is abundantly clear that she cares so much about her students. Not only is she a wonderful teacher, she makes a huge effort to personally connect with her students, and goes out of her way to help her students on their way to success. I started taking private violin lessons when I started middle school and continued to do so throughout high school. Part of the way through high school I asked her if it would be a good idea to learn viola. She immediately helped me find a wonderful place to rent from, and the next week changed my lessons so that we were able to do both instruments. She always challenged me to be a better musician, and because of her, I am currently playing in my college orchestra. Wendy Lee is always looking out for my sisters and I, who are also taking lessons from her. She has inspired me to be a better violist, and she’s part of the reason I’m pursuing a music education major. Out of all my music teachers, Ms. Wendy is my favorite and I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for private lessons.

Wendy poured her heart and soul into teaching me everything she knows. She has love and compassion for every single student and goes to lengths very who, if anyone, will go to, to help her students learn And have a chance to learn the instrument they chose. She spreads joy through music and Wendy lives for her students and their families. I will forever be positively impacted by this wonderful woman.
