About Melissa

Hello to all! I am a music educator, I hold a bachelor degree in vocal performance from Florida International University, my vocal instruction experience has now reached it’s seventh year, and I am also an active opera singer with a passion for sharing the joy of music with everyone. I have performed many different musical genres and teach anything from classical to the most modern pop and alternative repertoire.

Currently, I’m accepting students from age 10 - 60yrs and offering individualized vocal instruction ranging from those simply wanting to improve confidence in their singing to those who are training to perform for audiences and auditioning for more serious opportunities!

My approach to singing is to always retain a positive sense or relationship to our voice, understanding that it is always growing and improving, while we engage in fun, healthy vocal exploration during lessons. It is my professional goal to help you reach your fullest potential over time and to grow a lifelong love for singing!

I began teaching during the last year of my bachelors to make extra money and found that I enjoyed teaching.

Bachelors degree in music, about 10 years performing, and over 5yrs of music education experience have helped prepare me for teaching lessons.

About the lesson
