About Adriane

I love teaching students of all ages how to sing in a healthy and expressive way! I have been teaching voice, acting, music theory, and diction for the last 10 years in my private studio, as well as at the high school and college level. I've taught students from age 5 to age 65. One of the reasons I love my job so much is that each student has unique gifts, which I'm delighted to help them cultivate!

I love seeing students become increasingly more confident, not only in their singing, but as a person. Learning to tap into one's vocal abilities requires thoughtfulness and mindfulness and can be one of the most rewarding and gratifying pursuits!

About the lesson

During the first lesson, we get to know one another. A huge part of teaching voice is finding out each student's particular reason for wanting to sing. I'll also try and learn a bit about their individual needs as far helping them to grow their voice, with regards to both technique and expression. We'll talk posture, breathing, and basic technique, as well as discuss any repertoire they may be interested in working on.
