About Yorika

It stands out because my focus is YOU! During my lessons, the main focus is always the student's voice and my main aim is getting to know my student's voice. Every voice is a gem, with different textures, and it is my job to help you understand your voice better.

I enjoy meeting new people and new voices! My passion is studying new voices and getting to know which exercises work best with particular voices. In my experience teaching contemporary voice, I believe that every voice has its own unique composition with different strengths and needs, and I, as a teacher and vocal coach, am only there to help you study and understand your voice better. Only by truly understanding how our own particular voice works, can we have total control over our voices.

I have completed a Higher Diploma in Vocal Performance at Musicians Institute, Hollywood CA. In my time living in LA, I have performed at several venues around LA such as Whisky a-Go-Go, Hard Rock Hollywood and Howl at the Moon. I have also just recently graduated with a Master's in Popular Music Performance at the University of East London with distinction. I have been teaching Contemporary Voice for about 5 years. In this time, I have also created a course for Contemporary Singing, delving deep in vocal technique and performance.

About the lesson

I believe that everyone has the potential to become a successful singer with the right attitude and dedication towards the voice. I usually start my teaching journey with the student by getting to know the student, his/her ambitions, his/her strengths and ultimately his/her voice. I believe that only by understanding and studying my student's voice, can I really provide a remarkable and effective learning experience that is tailor-made for each and every student.
