About Sandra
Sandra Aviles is a language and literature tutor specializing in English, Spanish, French, Italian, and ESL, with nearly a decade of classroom teaching experience at Newton Public Schools and as Head of Language at a private Massachusetts school. She brings a rare perspective from a 15+ year career at the United Nations, FAO, and ILO, where she worked across languages and cultures at the highest levels of international policy. What she loves most about teaching is watching a student find their voice — that moment when a new language stops feeling foreign and starts feeling like their own. Sandra offers personalized, rigorous tutoring for students of all ages, grounded in real-world fluency, not just textbooks.
