As a native Spanish speaker I can help you achieve your goals.
I’m from Buenos Aires, Argentina, a country were proper Spanish is spoken (very similar to Spain). The accent is different, but we have a strong European influence (Italy and Spain), so dialects are not part of our culture.
Even though I teach grammar, the best way to learn a language is through conversation. Also reading and watching movies. That’s where I focus on mostly.

I like to know my student's goals first. Based on their needs I create a personalized lesson for them, which includes: conversations, pronunciation, grammar, homework, reading, Watching movies, listening to music.
I truly believe that if you make the class fun, the student tends to feel more relaxed and comfortable when it comes to learn and speak the language. At the end of each week the student has an verbal and written test.
Children, teenagers, and adults. Some of them wanted to improve their grammar, while others just wanted to have regular conversations to become more fluent.
Everything is possible if you're constant and if there's a will. Forget about the word "NO", or this affirmation: "I'm terrible with languages". I've heard that a lot. It's a process; as everything else in life you have to put some effort, and I'm here to help you to go through that process.
I'm a humanitarian type of person. I'm a City Harvast volunteer.

Maria is absolutely a wonderful compassionate teacher who really knows how to connect to her students. I highly recommend her for all age groups.
Maria is a great tutor! She has helped my 5 year old go from only speaking a few words in Spanish to complete sentences! She thoughtfully plans his lessons and has taken the time to get to know his likes and dislikes. She has a lot of patience and my son enjoys her lessons. He has a lot of confidence speaking and I am sure that he will succeed in his Dual Language Immersion kindergarten class this year because of his tutoring sessions with her.
Maria was great! She was very professional, great with kids, always on time and prepared and patient. She is a native Spanish speaker and was able to teach proper Spanish. I would highly recommend her.
