About Marita

Learning a second language can seem intimidating but it is also fun, and it opens the door to a world of opportunities.

My methodology is geared towards facilitating the conversational process through a better understanding of phonics and ortographic mapping.

I am currently an elementary school teacher but have taught Spanish and English to corporate level executives, high school students, and missionaries, as well as served as a translator.

I find it rewarding to share the knowledge I have, and meet people from all sorts of backgrounds in the process.

Becoming a mother led me to change careers and pursue education.

I have a Masters degree in Education and have worked as a teacher for many years.

In addition, I am fully fluent in English and Spanish as I have spoken both languages since infancy.

About the lesson

Initial introduction, inquiries, and observations to determine the needs of the student and be able to formulate appropriate lessons.

I have worked with corporate level executives, high school and college students at a language center, elementary students as a school teacher, and doing translations for the police department.

It is important for students to know and clearly convey their goals in wanting to learn a new language. That way, they can better express their expectations to their teacher/tutor.
